Casinacho Games

Casinacho Games is one of those apps that doesn't ask much of you and still manages to be charming. It bundles a handful of short, tile-based mini-challenges under one colourful roof, and the whole thing runs smoothly even on older phones. I opened it expecting to close it in five minutes and ended up still tapping twenty minutes later.

The controls are about as simple as mobile gets — single taps and the odd swipe. What saves it from feeling thin is pacing. Each little round is short enough that you never feel stuck, and the difficulty nudges up gently so you keep wanting one more go. The sound effects are cheerful without getting annoying, which is harder to pull off than it sounds.

It's not a game you'll sink whole evenings into, and it doesn't pretend to be. But as a thing to open while waiting for a bus, Casinacho Games does exactly what it sets out to do. I liked the clean interface and the way it loads instantly.
