About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat between a few friends who kept arguing about which mobile game was actually worth the storage space. At some point we decided to stop arguing and start writing it down. That's the whole origin story — no marketing agency, no investor pitch, just people who like playing on their phones during commutes and lunch breaks.

Every game we cover gets installed and played properly. We don't judge a strategy title from its screenshots or an RPG from a trailer. Someone on the team sits with it, learns the controls, hits the mid-game wall that trailers never show you, and takes notes along the way. If a game bores us after twenty minutes, we say so.

We pick games in two ways. Sometimes we chase whatever everyone's talking about; sometimes we dig through the stores for small titles that deserve more attention. Genre variety matters to us — not everyone wants another match-three, and not everyone has the patience for a deep tactics game.

The reviews are opinions, plainly. Two of us can disagree about the same game, and that's fine. What we promise is that we actually played it and we're telling you what we honestly thought.
